Under WP 3: Student Exchange to TAMU, one USN student is going to TAMUG from March to May 2026. The stduent is:

1. Liga Jakobsena (Master, Female)

Liga’s master thesis title is “Evaluation of general-purpose Large Language Models performance (knowledge) and readiness for the Maritime industry”, to be defended at USN in June 2026.

Under WP 4: Student Exchange to UTokyo, combining 1st and 2nd round hosting, four (4) USN stduents are being hosted at Tokyo from March to May 2026. The stduents are:

1. Regine Paulsen (Master, Female)
2. Eivind Wanganga (Master, Male)
3. Eilif Hagen (Master, Male)
4. Ida Brevig-Axelsson (Bachelor, Female)

Regine and Eivind are working as a team in their master thesis titled “Evaluating the Potential of Meta AI Glasses as a Support Tool in Maritime Simulator Training”. Eilif together with another student Kasper working as a team in their master thesis titled “Mapping Competencies of Remote Operators for Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships”. Ida is working in her bachelor thesis titled “Barriers to effective ship waste management in ports”.
